For Referring Physicians
Most major carriers require precertification for advanced imaging (MRI, CT, PET, nuclear medicine, etc.). Below are the carrier-specific channels we recommend for initiating precertifications efficiently. For assistance, our in-house Pre-cert Team is standing by.
Some Blue Cross Blue Shield Out-of-State precertifications may also be initiated through AIM. Use the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama website / AIM portal, or call AIM directly.
Other Out-of-State BCBS precerts may be obtained by calling the number below. The three-letter prefix of the patient’s contract number will be required to utilize this system.
These precertifications may be initiated by calling MedSolutions.
Humana precerts may be initiated online via HealthHelp or by phone.
For all other insurance carriers, reference the patient’s card for information on precertification.
